They rent pedal boats, paddle boards, and life jackets by the hour.
NM really needs to take better care if this park. It is not living up to it's potential. The bathrooms rarely get cleaned and they have a serious raccoon issue they don't do anything about, so trash ends up all over the park
Great place for a picnic and swimming. There is a covered area near the water so you don't have to be out in the sun the whole time if you don't want to be. It's also very cheap, only like 6.00 for a car load for the day.
Great daily getaway. We bring sandwiches and drinks to just take a break from everything. It's about a 20 minute drive east of Roswell. Peak times are between 11a and 4pm on the weekends. Weekdays are pretty chill and it's easier to get a table on the lake side. Lifeguards are on duty from 9-5 I believe, so please be careful beyond those times.
The "beach" is a great place to spend the day. There's covered areas with tables so you can sit in the shade and/or eat (you bring your own grill). They sell ice, but it's $5.99/5lbs, so be sure to have your own.
Was here for a day to see some of the lake and swim in Lea Lake. The waters are beautiful. There are little fishies in the shallows that will swim around your feet. So cool!
The water is refreshing and crisp. It's just like an oasis in the desert. There are picnic tables, bathrooms, camping sights, and more. It's wonderful. One day just isn't enough time in this gorgeous place.
The only thing I didn't like was passing the dry lakes and smelling dead fish on the road in.
