But the staff were very engaged and helpful, and helped me with a number of minor problems with my room. And the morning clerk also engaged, and seemed to really care what I thought of the motel.
Recommended (hint: there's a Starbucks directly across the street)
It suffers from the same problems most motels do: not nearly enough lighting in the rooms (who knows how well the maid cleaned this morning!) and bad soap (they really give away those little evil soap packets and expect us to think well of them?). And they have great towels, like hopefully most motels.
The other real downside was the breakfast. It was pretty standard, but those slabs of precooked scrambled eggs always put me off. That's where I took the point off!
Stopped for the night as we passed through. Clean, friendly staff and although an older hotel, the room was nice. Would definitely stay here again.
I'd never been to Roswell before but know a person who hated it there. I tried not to let that color my initial impressions, but you know how it is. That said, I was happily surprised by the Days Inn.
It was very nice. Rooms were clean. People were nice. I even saw Tormund from Game of Thrones. It was a great experience.
Real nice and clean. Great breakfast bar. Well come again.
